DIALOG

Shaping Europe through dialogue - DIALOGUE against populism, racism and anti-Semitism (2018-2019)

Project Number: 601676-CITIZ-1-2018-1-BG-CITIZ-REMEM

DIALOG has conducted intercultural dialogues with contemporary witnesses of the 1968 movement who also experienced the changes of 1981 and 1989. In other words, a "history dialogue" is being conducted in which biographies of citizens are being created who can report on such milestones in the history of Europe. In workshops, DIALOGues took place across generations, focusing on the history of Europe and its challenges. Through the examination of "degenerate art", the atrocities of the Nazi era were remembered and attention was drawn to racism, exclusion and hatred then and now. In an art dialogue, exhibits of young citizens created "MY PICTURE OF EUROPE". During the juxtaposition in national and international exhibitions, panel discussions with political representatives about the tasks of the newly elected EU Parliament will be held in all participating countries before the European elections. In the context of the International Exhibition around the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, an intercultural DIALOGUE was conducted with "works" and "words". At this International Exhibition, young citizens from EU countries presented their "image of Europe" - an expression of their vision of the future. A radio campaign promoted, accompanied and disseminated DIALOG. Events and activities were held in Bulgaria, Germany, Greece and Austria and Germany. Approximately 1,200 participants of all ages attended. Exhibition opening and panel discussion on the occasion of the 2019 European elections: "Shaping Europe through dialogue. Dialogue against populism, racism and anti-Semitism" took place on May 20, 2019, 16:30, Cafe Kaiserfeld, Kaiserfeldgasse 19-21, 8010 Graz.
