Reflect 2

Educating for Critical Thinking, inclusive Societies and dynamic Engagement (2020-2023)

Project Number: 2020-1-DE03-KA201-077583

Reflect 2 is the extension of the multilingual platform EduSkills+, dedicated to cosmopolitan educational strategies and their growing importance in the European and international context.

The multilingual platform offers diverse, engaging, and motivating materials for teachers to help young people understand the challenges of our diverse society, promote judgment and critical thinking, and identify mechanisms of manipulation. Practicing the conscious use of language, attentive and alert listening, looking, and perceiving leads to a critical but open-minded attitude that does not allow worldviews to be imposed.

The platform and all materials are available in English, German, Italian, Polish, Slovak and Slovenian. It includes three main elements:

- Modules dealing with diversity and global issues, as well as for the implementation of philosophical issues in the classroom;

- Multilingual media library with a collection of resources, materials, and model projects from different countries;

- Online video tutorials for teachers on how to use and implement the materials.

The modules are designed as downloadable, ready-to-use PDF files containing lesson plans, worksheets, reading and multimedia materials. A wide variety of exercises have been designed to provide students with tools to develop their cognitive skills and help them make judgments, clarify their definitions, and create concepts. So far, they are focusing on the following areas: Thinking, Language and Diversity, Human Rights, Democracy, Diversity in Football, Escaping War and Persecution, The Way Anti-Semitism Works, Antiziganism, Islamophobia: What Is It and Why Does It Exist?, Sustainable Consumption, The Way Our Products Work, Globalization.

The aim of the Reflect 2 project is to expand the already existing offer of the EduSkills+ platform with the following areas: climate change, digital ethics, water, a resource in danger, empathy, global and local, smartphone, climate justice, homophobia and disability....

The project is carried out by 8 organizations from 6 countries. The aim of the collaboration is to develop new modules on current social issues.
