ECODIALOGO
The ECODIALOGO project was developed under the umbrella of the SOCRATES programme.

The ECODIALOGO project was developed under the umbrella of the SOCRATES programme. ECODIALOGO aimed to strengthen environmental education in primary and lower secondary schools with the help of philosophical reflection based on interdisciplinary and intercultural approaches.
The aim of the project was to guide the pupils towards a critical, well-founded, creative and meaningful dialogue. The pupils were prepared to think and discuss environmental issues calmly and rationally. They were introduced to the basics and prerequisites, which gave them a better understanding of nature. They were also encouraged to question and reflect on uncertain aspects of a discipline and to think about ethical, social, epistemological and even logical, metaphysical and aesthetic foundations. Through philosophical dialogue, controversial viewpoints were illuminated and clarified.
Effects:
- Critical examination of the living environment (Community of Inquiry)
- Sharpening personal responsibility towards the individual and society
- Awareness of the environment
- Raising awareness of alternative energy sources and their use (optimisation of energy consumption in the school, wood chips, waste gas, solar energy in the village)
The "Eco-Sophie" and "Aquarius" projects developed from this project.
