International Congress for Children's Philosophy 2004

This congress will present the main areas of research by scientists who are primarily concerned with the relationship between thinking, learning and philosophy.
The research approach of children's philosophy is located at the interface between philosophy, psychology and education. Children's philosophy expands the content and methodological approach to researching the development of thinking and personality. Philosophising as an elementary cultural technique offers the opportunity to develop and cultivate basic cognitive, social and creative skills.
The topics of the congress include: the role of philosophising, critical, networked thinking and the relevance for current -- especially ethical -- problems of our time. These problems concern issues in the areas of new media and cyberspace

- intercultural communication and global thinking
Recent research findings from various countries will also be presented.
In addition to the presentations, there will be workshops and working groups on specific topics.
The congress will provide a comprehensive overview of the current state of children's philosophy. The speakers are among the leading international experts in this field.
